Making Blove Outta Nothing At All

Believe it or not, I'm not going to start out this post by saying that I've been too busy to post anything to the blog.

While that's as true as it ever was before (but maybe not as true as I want to think it is), it's not the real reason for the recent month-long silence.

For whatever reason, I haven't known what to write about. A few weekends back I cut down a dead tree in my backyard. I was semi-inspired to write about that and my continual feeling I need to cut out the "dead wood" in my life, but I never got motivated enough to sit down and write something.

And maybe that's been part of my problem. I really like taking apparently disparate things and tying them together in my blog entries, but it does make it more complicated. Maybe sometimes I just need to write something simple.

Today, all I'm writing about is that I need to write more. Doesn't get any simpler than that.
